On May 7, 2011, at the conference hall ‘Victoria’ of Eden Palace au Lac (Rue Du Theatre 11, Montreux CH-1820 Switzerland) the business meeting with the director general of Ascent Swiss Business Management AG, Mr Michael Derrer will take place.

The purpose of the meeting: mutual dialogue, consultations, analysis of interest of Swiss companies in cooperation with countries of Eastern Europe, discussing issues of product certification, presentation of participants of the meeting.

Michael Derrer, the founder and President of SIQS and the owner and CEO of Ascent Swiss Business Management AG (Switzerland) and its East European subsidiaries. He is of Swiss origin and lives in Basel. Michael obtained practical management experience in Eastern Europe and Russia during the past thirteen years. As a political scientist, economist, project manager, consultant and interpreter he mostly works in Kyiv, Moscow, Bucharest and Warsaw. Michael Derrer’s study of political sciences and economics in Lausanne and Geneva fell in the time of the political revolutions in Eastern Europe. The events attracted him to spend study periods in Bucharest and in Moscow and to learn the local languages. In 1998 – 2004 he built up and directed an organization for the know-how transfer to Eastern Europe, financed by the Swiss Ministry for the Economy. Besides his activity as a manager and interpreter Michael Derrer regularly contributes economic analyses about East European countries to different publications.

John William Arthur Netting, director general of Europe Business Assembly (UK). During a broad international career in high technology and precision engineering companies John Netting has held senior management and chief executive positions within both European and North American organisations. He has been involved in company start-ups, joint ventures and strategic alliances in both east and west Europe, India and South America. He has been teaching business programmes at Oxford Brookes University since 1996. He is specializing in international relations, has a practical experience in adaptation of educational systems to the standards of high schools of Hungary, Ukraine, Russia. Since 2000 he is Director General of Europe Business Assembly, Oxford, United Kingdom.

Wil Charles Goodheer, president of the Club of Rectors of Europe (Austria). He is one of the authors of distance education in the USA, an initiator and direct executor of fundamentally new educational programmes and techniques. He is the head of the International University Vienna, Austria for 14 years. Since 2006 he is the President of CRE. This public institution nowadays unites rectors from 84 universities from Eastern Europe, Middle Asia and Africa. He is a PhD, Professor.
