The organizers of the Forum are proud to invite you to take part in the Euroscience Open Forum, which will take place in the first capital of the united Italy – Turin. This peculiar scientific biennial event, which takes place in one of the largest university centers of Europe, puts together the best representatives of European science, business and mass media. Over 4 thousand of participants and over 200 thousand of attendees are expected to attend the ESOF this year.

The Head of the organizing committee is the 1996 Nobel Prize laureate, Sir Harold Kroto. During the Open Forum 110 separate seessional meetings, 18 workshops and 4 joint plenary meetings with attendance of 7 Nobel Prize laureates will be organized. The scientific programme includes 216 reports of scientists from 26 countries. Within the framework of the Forum, the ESOF 2010 Exhibition «Stage of innovations» will take place, where the newest scientific and technological achievements of European researchers to be presented, in one of the best European exhibition halls Lingotto Conference Centre (area 22 800 m2).

The Open Forum gives an opportunity for its attendees to choose one or several of six suggested programmes (to get the entire programme and terms and conditions of participation in all activities of the Forum (July, 2-7, 2010), please, contact the coordinator or go to the official site of the Forum www.ESOF2010.org).

During your visit you will attend the opening ceremony of the Forum, attended by the president of Italy Giorgio Napolitano, which will take place in Lingotto exhibition hall. The host of the ceremony is a famous scientist, director of the German Research Centre (Göttingen), professor of the University of Pennsylvania Julia Fischer. You will attend the gala reception in the ancient castle Castello del Valentino, a masterpiece of Italian architecture of the 17th century. You will be able to meet the leaders from different countries and share the experience at the session of the Club of Rectors of Europe. The culmination of the session will be the admission of new members to the Club of Rectors of Europe (CRE), the International Club of Leaders (ICL), and presentation of prestigious EBA awards. In addition, attendees of the Forum may join the Turin sightseeing tour.
