Eastern Partnership:

stability, management efficiency, economic growth

14 -17 March 2010, Town Hall, St. Aldate’s Street, Oxford, United Kingdom

Europe Business Assembly (ÅÂÀ) in partnership with the Club of the Rectors of Europe (CRE) and Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce (TVCC) will gather high-ranking public figures, businessmen and decision-makers for a strategic summit. The participants will discuss EU initiative “Eastern partnership” as a prospect of growth for business of Eastern Europe countries, familiarise with an economic outlook of dynamic markets, running business in the United Kingdom, key investments opportunities and overcoming the problems of the global financial crisis.

In the framework of the summit three topic platforms will work:
Eastern Partnership – a new economic prospect in the relations between EU and its eastern neighbours. Discussion panels:
Political stability and efficiency of state management.
Environment and energy security.
Economic integration and rapprochement with EU economic resource.
United Kingdom – a country of open opportunities (running business). Discussion panels:
What are prospects of the United Kingdom in the period of its going out of the global economic crisis?

Higher education in the United Kingdom: English approach. Discussion panels:
British education is one of the best in the world.
Academic know-how in the British education.
Cooperation in exchange programmes.
Studying English in the United Kingdom.
CRE – integration organisation in the field of higher education.

“Socrates award ceremony” is a traditionally bright event of solemn presenting the International Socrates awards. Chairmen of Oxford Summit of Leaders are John Netting, Wil Goodheer and Paul Briggs will present the best representatives of political, economic and scientific establishment with prestigious awards in the field of modern management.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom David Miliband highly appreciated EU initiative “Eastern Partnership”, having declared that the programme should become a powerful stimulus for development of European integration. In this aspect Oxford Summit – 150 policy-makers, businessmen and scientists from more than 30 countries of Europe and the Middle East will traditionally participate – is of interest not only as an interactive platform for discussions. A rule of a good form here is a pragmatic approach to working out of real mechanisms of strategic cooperation.
