Europe Business Assembly (EBA), Oxford, Great Britain, – is an independent corporation for development and management of economic, social and humanitarian collaboration. As a non-governmental organization, EBA promotes transformation of state-of-the-art experience and economic practices, establishment of economic, educational, cultural, and scientific ties, creation of national business elites. Creation of a positive image of dynamically developing regions, companies and individuals in the European and global business community – such is the main mission of the EBA institutions and representative offices, and of its strategic partners: British business alliance, UK; the European Market Research Centre (EMRC), Belgium; the International Congress of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (ICIE), Russia; and many others.

Organisational and legal structure of EBA:

The intellectual, organisational and legal structure of EBA is based on the leadership capacity of national elites integrated into influential international public institutions:

-  ICL (the International Club of Leaders, President – Paul Briggs, UK. ICL – is the association of top-managers of the world’s leading enterprises in the “middle” category).

-  CRE (The Club of the Rectors of Europe, President – Wil Goodheer, Austria. CRE – is an association of rectors, professors and academics from the major university and academic centres of Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and Africa).

-  OGMV (Knight Order of Grand Master La Valette, Grand Master – Professor John W.A. Netting, UK. OGMV – is a chapter of leaders from different spheres of public life that advocate for the triumph of universal human values, humanism and patronage).

EBA’s informal public institutions play an important role in the development of Euro-Atlantic economic integration, in technology and know-how transfer, in democratisation of rapidly developing regions, and are guided in their activities by guidelines of the European Union and EU Programmes “Good-neighbourliness” and “Eastern Partnership”.

Forums and awards:

EBA organises worldwide and specialised forums, conferences, business meetings and exhibitions on a regular basis, publishes reference catalogues, makes an efficient use of other information resources, thereby forming an all-European register of companies-leaders.

Selected on the basis of statistical data, recommendations of analytical, sociological, information and advertising agencies, rating and PR agencies, as well as results of international and national contests of professional achievements, business entities receive consulting, marketing and legal support of the leading companies of Europe in future.

EBA is an organiser of annual Socrates ceremonies, a founder of prestigious European prizes and awards that are well-known and enjoy the trust of national elites and business communities. Among them: “The Socrates International Award”, “Queen Victoria”, “United Europe”, “European Quality”, “Best Enterprise”. The decorations are made from precious metals, plated with 24-carat gold, encrusted with Swarowski crystals in the art school of a well-known English jeweler Alfred Vinietsky in London. Legal, patent and other rights belong to EBA and are protected by the legislation of UK.

As a rule, Socrates ceremonies are held in prestigious ceremonial halls twice a year. Made available for these ceremonies are: the Town Hall of the City of Oxford and Wellington Place in London, the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour – in Russia, the Pallavicini Palace – in Austria, The Palace of Parliament of Catalonia (Barcelona), the medieval Eglet Castle (Montreux) – in Switzerland.

By tradition, the 46-th Socrates ceremony will take place in the Town Hall of Oxford on October 11, and will be accompanied by the presentation of International Socrates Awards 2010 in the field of state administration, economics, science, diplomacy and culture.
